School Canteen

A nutritious diet is essential to healthy brain development in children, which is critical to good learning. That's why, Babui International Schools offers nutritionally balanced breakfast, lunch, and snacks to all students.

Our school kitchen team prepares fresh meals every day on site. The team provides snacks and meals that are healthy, tasty, and good for everyone. They also help students who have special dietary needs.

There is a daily morning snack, an afternoon snack, and at lunchtime a soup starter and two main courses, one of each being a vegetarian option. Parents are provided with a menu in advance of each week and are able to select the food they would like their children to be served each day.

Building Popular Menus

We work with student councils to try out new dishes for each new menu cycle and gain feedback about current menu choices. We also provide a star rating system so that parents and students can make their opinions heard directly by our menu planning team.

Fresh and Seasonal Produce

Our menus change each term because we use seasonal produce. This means our fruit and vegetables have the benefit of being fuller, fresher, and more locally sourced. Buying seasonal food also makes products cheaper to procure and helps keep the meal cost down.

Food Education

We provide fun and educational cooking classes for students. Through Food Science Classes at school, our food team also teaches students about nutrition and diet. All our menus are nutritionally analyzed to make sure they are compliant with the School Food Standards.

Allergens and Dietary Restrictions

We have evolved to make sure our students are safe and parents are assured. So, if your child is allergic to one of the allergens, we will block dishes that contain that allergen to make sure no mistakes are made. Parents can tell the school office about their child's religious or medical dietary needs, and this information will be put into the ERP system. The system will inform the Medical staff about the child’s name and any dietary requirements to ensure the wrong food item is not given to the child.

Vegetarian options are always available in addition to meat or fish choices. Contact our school or email us at info@babuischool.org if you need help with food allergies or other dietary restrictions.

Reporting Issues with School Food

If there is an issue with a single meal, the student should notify the school’s dining manager, who should offer another option. If there are consistent issues with the food at the school, please take the following steps:

  • Continue to report them to your dining manager.
  • Report the issue to the school principal.
  • Begin to keep a daily log.
Important Notes
  • All menus are subject to change.
  • All menus are Halal.
  • No unhealthy/More Spicy food is offered or served in school meals.
  • No artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners are used in any school meal.
